Closing eve moments like this are the ones that stay with you forever. Tonight I ran to Miss Kim’s house for some last minute, in-person signing thanks to technical issues and no Wi-Fi (real life 😂). We grabbed keys from the lockbox, handled a few moving details, and somehow spent just as much time talking about Hallmark Christmas movies as we did paperwork. Before I left, she handed me this… Her grandmother’s wooden rolling pin. Over 100 years old. She handed it to me and said, “You’re my sourdough baking girl. I want you to have it.” 🥖 I felt the tears instantly. Not because it’s beautiful (it is). Not because it’s old (it’s incredible). But because of what it represents. This is why we do what we do. Yes, we sell houses. Yes, we negotiate, market, price, strategize, and line everything up just right. And yes, this transaction was a perfect mix of timing, pricing, marketing, the right buyer, and the Lord’s timing above all. But at the heart of it, we’re being trusted with people’s stories. Their memories. Their next chapters. I am so deeply honored to help Miss Kim with this step in her life, and I will cherish this rolling pin for as long as I’m baking. Every loaf will carry a little bit of her story with it. Grateful. Humbled. And reminded once again that this work is about so much more than real estate 🤍
